The Telegraph has published Igniyte’s Business of Reviews research revealing that online reviews and negative online content is costing one in five British businesses more than £30,000 a year.
The detailed article showed the findings that most UK business owners – 75% – admitted that online reviews were very important to their financial and reputational status, with one in six claiming that unfair negative posts could destroy their business completely.
The coverage also showed that UK companies are spending significant amounts of money trying to deal with malicious posts, with 18% spending up to £30,000 trying to challenge online posts.
