Igniyte spoke to Birmingham Live this week about the city’s reputation following recent strike action and the challenges it now faces in rebuilding public trust.

Managing Director Roz Sheldon commented on the long-term impact reputational damage can have—not just for individuals or companies, but for entire cities. She explained that when public confidence is shaken, recovery requires a clear and consistent approach, involving honest communication, strong leadership, and a willingness to engage with local communities.

Roz also noted that once negative perceptions take hold, it can take years to reverse them, especially if concerns aren’t addressed head-on. “Reputation isn’t just about what’s being said today,” she said, “it’s about how you respond, how you listen, and what actions you take going forward.”
